rsync via ssh

If you do not have an rsync daemon running on a remote server an alternative is to run rsync over ssh to sync files.

Most servers will have ssh available. So that you can run the application rsync over the ssh protocol.

That can be done using the following command.

rsync -avz -e ssh remoteuser@remotehost:/remote/dir /this/dir/
